Audience Feedback

For the audience feedback I produced a questionnaire which consisted of 10 questions (some multiple choice and some open questions) I gave these questionnaires to 10 people around the age of 15 as this is the intended target audience for my magazine, I kept the questions simple and ambiguous so that they would fully understand the questions and be able to give an accurate and appropriate answer which will aide my results. Along with the questionnaire I also gave each person a copy of my  "Tuuune" magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread so that they can have a thorough look at it.

(I would ideally have a nationwide sample which where my questionnaire would be distributed all around the UK and possibly too other countries if my magazine became popular enough. However due to this questionnaire being constructed to give me audience feedback I had to use opportunity sampling where I found 10 children between the age of 12-15 to participate in the questionnaire and all of these 10 where from hull because this is where I live.)

Why?
Can't afford it as I don't get pocket money
I'm not a big reader so it would be a waste of money
I mainly like to spend my pocket money on new clothes
I prefer looking at the site online
(4 girls said yes whereas only 2 boys said yes, this could show gender bias towards the magazine, fewer boys may be interested in buying magazines at this age compared to girls as boys tend to read less generally.)

I have constructed my questionnaire so that it could be used on a broad scale giving a nationwide sample which will equip "Tuuune" magazine with essential feedback which can be used when considering aspects such as the bands/ artists which they wish to include in the magazine. For example, by asking the target audience "Who would you want to see live?", it helps emphasise the target audiences most popular band/ artist, giving "Tuuune" magazine appropriate material to use.
