Draft 1
I have decided to use this photo because I feel it stays consistent with the theme of the artist being like "the girl next door" I also feel the fact that the artist appears to be leaning on the edge of the page makes the pose unique, the picture is believable as she is connecting with the audience. By putting a line down the middle of the page it separates the page into two sections making it easier to see each A4 page.
Draft 2
I have added in the same background from the other pages which feature pictures of the artists so to stay consistent with the house style, i have also used the same headline as the one used as the banner head line on the front page.
Draft 3
I added the double page spread article on to the left page, including a small snippet of this text on the right page next to the artist, implying she is saying this and putting extra emphasis on the words.
I explored with the positions of where the text could go however felt it looked best placed next to the artists head as this emphasises that it is her words.
Draft 5
I added tour dates next to the artist so that it is clear for the readers to see when and where her tours occur.
I felt the text was too large for a conventional magazine therefore I decreased the size of the article text, this ment there was too much space left at the bottom of the page so I included an extra question to fill the space.
Draft 7
I felt that the article side of the double page spread was quite bland in colour, therefore I decided to change all of the interviewers words into red and Jade Watson's into black, leaving the other house style colour yellow to be the background. I feel it has made the page look more attractive and interesting.
FINAL DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
The space between "My best friend helps me through thick and thin" and the tour dates looked very empty and attracted too much attention to the gap therefore I decided to place a picture of Jades new album "crank it", this is also an example of synergy.
This is the final double page spread, I feel it stays consistent to the house style and looks like a professional article.
